Some of us are probably familiar with the idea that when you buy a luxury item, whether it be a fancy watch or handbag, it usually comes with a form of certificate showing its authenticity. Think of it like a small ownership card or warranty card.
Validactor creates digital versions of that. This can also help manufacturers and buyers keep track and trace where their products go.
“When Validactor protected products are sold, the manufacturers usually don’t know where it goes after it’s bought. We solve this via our digital certification of authenticity,” said Dorothea Bousek, Head of Communications for North Europe.
Many things can be done with this digital certificate. Since it is uploaded onto our secure servers, it is accessible anytime.
Traditionally, with second hand shopping, there are a lot of problems when it comes to transferring ownership. Validactor links the digital certificate to the real owner (like a warranty card) so that it can be accounted for by the system and it’s easy to prove you’re the original owner when selling the luxury item off or auctioning it.
“This way, we’re creating big data for manufacturers and brands by giving them a view of how their merchandise is moving throughout its lifetime. They can see if it’s being sold to other countries, the demographic it attracts, and so forth.” Added Mrs. Bousek.

Today the web is full of fake and look-alike websites and is becoming quite impossible to be sure that the site you are visiting is the original or a bogus one" added Dorothea.
The service is immediately available. In order to receive the Validactor seal, send a mail to info@validactor.com attaching a copy of the "whois" record. The Validactor seal will be sent only to the email address reported in the "whois" record.
Once received, the seal can be placed anywhere in the website and if desired can be also attached to any outbound email.
